The Beaulieu Warblers Sing In Concert on 10 April was a fantastic success. 55 singers and Beaulieu Abbey Church packed out to listen to music from Les Mis, Gospel and pop. Shannon Freeman, Byron Witchell and Maurice Pearce provided excellent solo spots and feedback has been great. Here's what they're saying: I thought the concert went brilliantly - so impressed with the choir. It's come on so much. I was moved to tears by Les Mis at the end (great singing on your part!). Fantastic! - Sue Franklin Sunday was a great success and according to the audience (particularly my wife) the sound produced was excellent and as far as I heard everybody enjoyed the afternoon. - Bill Rich What a triumph!. I particularly enjoyed the musical excerts from Les Mis. - Jane Skinner What a wonderful concert that was yesterday ..... I thought all of the singing was just amazing and a brilliant mix of music. The Les Miserables section was my favourite and so moving .... I was close to tears when you sang .... just beautiful. You must have been soooooo pround of everyone and I hope especially proud of yourself. - Lindy Shanks Dear James, Many, many congratulations on the success of yesterday's concert. Your concept, encouragement, enthusiasm and your pure hard work are what made it. Silk purse out of a sow's ear are words that come to mind for my part! Your soloists were magnificent and it was very interesting to see others whom you teach. What a joy that the church was full and the tea afterwards was a great idea...much appreciated by all. I loved every single rehearsal - Sue Nicholas - Warbler. |
